Time

Cross-stitch is one of my hobbies when I can find the time to sit down and do some sewing.  This sampler was in a box in our basement and I dug it out and hung it on the wall.  I actually stitched the date on it upon completion.  As you see, that was in 2001.

It started me thinking about life and what had happened in the years since I worked this design.  I used to buy cross-stitch kits on my visits home, though it is some years since I've done so, as I have quite a collection of unfinished kits and some still to be started.

I also thought about the direction that my life has taken in the last thirteen years.  There have been a lot of hiccoughs along the way.  I still don't feel like I'm heading in the right direction, but I don't know how to get where I want to be.

A blogging friend gave me some advice recently and that was to ask the universe for help.  I know that it worked for her and she found her way home.  I'm willing to give it a try and hope that in time, it may lead me safely home too.  My only hope is that this will be sooner rather than later.

  1. LOVELY cross stitch, Marie!!And a nice reminder of home for you. This will be good to have around as you call to the Universe to help you find the way home. A pretty talisam, of sorts. :o) You've had a love of ups & downs in these years I've know you, Marie. I hope & pray very much your true dream of home will be fulfilled... and sooner rather than later. :o) Very much I can relate to some of the feelings you're having. My life is good, but I'm feeling a shift that is hard to connect all the dots too... the beginnings of something new, I think. Life's path changes sometimes. And sometimes we much as for guidance to help a change for ourselves. ((LOVE & HUGS))
