In Colour

We recently went for a day out and headed towards Guysborough and the eastern shore of Nova Scotia.  This is an area that I have not visited for some years and I hazy memories of a drive along the shore, but little recollection of Guysborough itself.  I found it to be a delightful place, filled with colourful buildings around the harbour.

This photograph was taken through a mirror which was hanging in one of the buildings and shows some of the boats.

The Rare Bird pub sits above the harbour and we had a meal there before continuing our journey.

We enjoyed our visit so much that after our drive along the shore, we returned to Gusyborough and stopped for tea at the Days Gone By Bakery ~ the best cup of tea I've tasted since we moved to the province!

This is definitely an area that I would like to spend more time exploring and I think that it is likely that we will visit again before the end of the season.

  3. Wow, what a lovely place. I must admit I am fairly clueless about Nova Scotia, but those houses looked so Swedish (and made me long for the country that I have 'adopted'!)

You're so lucky to live somewhere so beautiful :)
