It’s Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas....

I finally found time to decorate our tree this afternoon. It seems to have a bit of a lean but, as Mr Candytuft is recovering from surgery, it’s staying like this.

Thrift Shop Find

I visited my favourite thrift/charity shop yesterday and I found this lovely little cottage.  It is Eriskay Croft by Lilliput Lane from 1992.  It is absolutely perfect and I’ve added it to my small collection - I only have a couple of other pieces, but I do love the detail and quality of the craftsmanship.

It didn’t come with its original box or the title deeds but, as it cost me less than I would pay for a cup of tea, I’m not complaining.

Christmas Robin Socks

My latest sock knitting is a new pattern for Christmas Robin socks, by the designer, Winwick Mum, in collaboration with West Yorkshire Spinners.  The colours of this yarn are beautiful and a perfect reflection of the colours of the European robin - the one most depicted on Christmas cards.

I’ve knitted more in the past couple of years than I have for most of my life.  Knitting definitely helps with reducing stress and anxiety and is good for my mental health.
