Spring

We are finally seeing signs of spring in our garden.  The crocus were at their best last weekend, but I was away, so did not manage to capture any photographs.  The past few weeks have been hectic and I don't know where the time has gone.  I hardly seem to have had a moment to spend time in the garden or do anything else other than go to work.

I travelled more than 1700 km/1100 miles to attend a one-day course in Toronto last weekend.  I flew in on Saturday as the course was on Sunday and then I had a day to myself before flying back to Halifax on Tuesday.

I took the rest of the week off, as I've not had a break since October.  We spent time in the garden during the past two days tidying and weeding.  It has been good to get outside in the fresh air and see new life appearing.

My blog has been very neglected and I'm not sure whether to continue.  I enjoy posting, even though I know that I blog so little these days that I hardly have any followers.  Life has been incredibly stressful in the last few months, especially since my return from the UK in October.

For the time being, I will try to post and visit when I can.  Who knows what the next few months will bring?  Hopefully a change for the better.

  2. LOVELY bright pink tulips, Marie! And wonderful to see some signs of spring at last! Our tulips are in leaf finally--so blooms soon. Glad you had some well-deserved time off. Blogging is a dilemma sometimes, especially when life gets hectic. I think we've all been there. I think readers just aren't engaging as much anymore either, what with themselves posting and at so many places...it's hard to keep up. I'm thinking of taking a month-long blog break in July coming up. I'm seeing it as a nice little experiment and to live life more in the moment, and make more time for things I love. I enjoying blogging a lot, but with dwindling readership, etc. I wonder about the future of blogging... Interesting thoughts! :o) Happy Days, my friend ((HUGS))

  3. Hi Marie!

Don't give up! Though you don't post often, it doesn't mean that people aren't reading your blog when you do. I'd definitely miss your online presence!

It seems hard to believe that those plant photos are of the same garden that was under multiple feet of snow only a couple of months ago. I'm glad you're getting to enjoy it together.

Gosh, 1100 miles for a job training day does sound a lot! I hope you had some fun in Toronto. Good on you for taking the week off, too; work can be a real drain if you don't have any breaks.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you regarding the stress and hoping that it works itself out soon. Any more on the house move?

    Best wishes,

    Tash :)
